Flexible, supply role covering lessons at a number of secondary schools close to the Penketh, Great Sankey, Old Hall area of Warrington. There are a variety of opportunities at a number of the schools in this area for confident, adaptable and motivated individuals who have prior experience of supporting within a school environment or are looking to progress into an education based career.

The role of a cover supervisor is to cover lessons in the absence of the class teacher. Work is already planned and set for the successful cover supervisor to deliver to classes of students, ensuring they remain on task and that behavioural disturbances are kept to a minimum. The cover supervisor role often takes place across a full day where there is the requirement to cover across the whole subject and age range. To fulfil the role of a cover supervisor, the successful individual should therefore be flexible and able to adapt to different situations quickly.

Key aspects of the Cover Supervisor role:

  • Variety of secondary schools situated on the West side of Warrington which all request cover supervisors to cover lessons
  • Proactive and reactive cover with schools advising of requirements in advance but also in the morning; full flexibility for the relevant cover supervisors
  • Competitive pay rate equating to GBP57 - GBP70 per day depending on the length of the school day and specific responsibilities
  • Opportunity to cover lessons and support within lessons where applicable
  • Gain invaluable experience within a secondary school which will support a future application onto a PGCE for example

The schools that work with Teaching Personnel in this area are located to the West of Warrington city centre in the areas of Penketh, Great Sankey and Bewsey making them very easy to access from Warrington, St Helens or Wigan.
