Position: General Teaching Supply

Location: Nottingham

Subject specific cover and cover supervisor work allows you to explore your teaching styles without the stress of marking or planning!

As a subject specific teacher or cover supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning when teachers are absent. This role will provide you with first hand exposure to the classroom environment, enhancing your communication and organizational skills, as well as your ability to work effectively with young people.

Cover supervisor work allows you to explore your teaching styles without the stress of marking or planning! Or if you are fully qualified we can secure a subject specific role to secure higher pay with more responsibilities including planning or marking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver lessons and set tasks to students in the absence of the regular class teacher.
  • Manage the classroom environment, ensuring a positive and productive learning atmosphere.
  • Promote a culture of respect, discipline, and engagement among students.
  • Assist with behaviour management and respond appropriately to any challenges or disruptions.
  • Support students in their learning, offering guidance and clarification as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behaviour, and any significant incidents.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure a smooth transition between lessons and maintain the continuity of learning.
  • Follow school policies and procedures to ensure the health, safety, and welfare of all students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
