We are looking for driven, resilient and committed cover supervisors for English and Maths Functional Skills in one our secondary/further education SEMH schools in the Leigh area; you will be supporting students with Social, emotional and Mental health challenges and low-level SEN needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is committed to inclusive education and wants to make a positive impact to young people’s lives.

As a Cover Supervisor you will

Deliver engaging pre-prepared lessons  

Manage behaviour in a clam and patient approach  

Support the school in maintaining a positive and nurturing learning environment  

Encourage pupils with their engagement and confidence

Work to support students in accordance with their EHCP

Adapt activities to best suit individual children’s needs when required

Someone who has a resilient, patient and compassionate approach

Someone who has prior experience working with children/vulnerable adults with SEN needs

Someone who has strong communication and relationship building skills

Someone who is confident delivering lessons

Someone who can thrive in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

✅An enhanced DBS on the update service

✅At least two professional references covering the past 2 years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
