Cover Supervisor – Cheltenham (Start December 2025)

Location: Cheltenham
Start Date: December 2025
Contract: Flexible – Short or Long Term Assignments Available
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Are you a confident and motivated individual with strong classroom management skills?
We are seeking a Cover Supervisor to join secondary schools in the Cheltenham area starting in December 2025.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring that students remain on task with their learning. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with good communication skills who enjoys working with young people and wants to gain experience in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons to classes across a range of subjects

  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies

  • Support students in their learning and promote a positive classroom environment

  • Follow safeguarding and school procedures at all times

  • Be flexible to cover either short or long-term roles as required

Requirements:

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills

  • A genuine interest in working with young people

  • Previous experience in a school or similar setting is desirable

  • A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
