Job Title: Secondary Cover Supervisor

Location: Cheltenham
Contract Type: Permanent / Temporary / Part-Time
Start Date: December 2025


About the Role

We are looking for a confident, adaptable, and proactive Secondary Cover Supervisor to join our Cheltenham-based team this December. If you have a strong grounding in core subjects and a genuine enthusiasm for supporting students’ learning, this is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

In this role, you will supervise classes across Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring lessons continue smoothly in the absence of the class teacher and maintaining a positive, productive classroom environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons across a variety of subjects, primarily within KS3 and KS4

  • Maintain a calm and focused learning atmosphere, following school behaviour policies

  • Support students in engaging with set work and maintaining progress

  • Manage classroom routines confidently and adapt to different learning environments

  • Organise your own schedule with full flexibility and control over your working days

  • A solid understanding of core subjects (Maths, English, Science)

  • Excellent organisation and time management skills

  • Confidence in managing classroom behaviour and engaging students

  • Flexibility to adapt to different schools and teaching styles

  • A professional, reliable, and enthusiastic approach to education
