Job Title: Secondary Cover Supervisor
Location: Chipping Campden, Gloucestershire
Contract Type: Permanent / Temporary / Part-Time


About the Role:

We are currently seeking a confident, flexible, and dedicated Secondary Cover Supervisor to support a vibrant and high-achieving school in Chipping Campden. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong foundation in core subjects and a passion for inspiring young people.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity of education across Key Stages 3 and 4, stepping into lessons when teaching staff are absent. You’ll ensure students remain engaged and focused while following clearly structured lesson plans.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver pre-set cover lessons across a range of subjects at KS3 and KS4

  • Maintain a calm and productive classroom environment using the school’s behaviour policy

  • Follow lesson plans provided by teaching staff to ensure a seamless learning experience

  • Adapt to different classroom environments and student groups with confidence

  • Manage your own schedule with flexibility to suit your availability


What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong subject knowledge in core areas such as English, Maths, and Science

  • Confidence and presence in the classroom, with a proactive attitude

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills

  • Ability to manage student behaviour positively and effectively

  • Previous experience in a school setting is desirable but not essential
