Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Birmingham City Centre (with travel across West Midlands)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Day-to-day and Long-term assignments available
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience


About the Role:
We are currently seeking a reliable and professional Cover Supervisor to join our team, supporting secondary schools across Birmingham and the wider West Midlands area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for education and experience within UK secondary schools, to manage classes in the absence of teaching staff, ensuring continuity of learning.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage classes during teacher absences, maintaining a positive learning environment.

  • Follow lesson plans and school behaviour policies.

  • Provide feedback on pupil behaviour and progress to teaching staff.

  • Travel between schools across the West Midlands, supporting multiple secondary schools as required.


Person Specification:

  • Minimum of 1 year’s experience working within UK secondary schools.

  • Ability to manage classes confidently and maintain discipline.

  • Professional and approachable manner with excellent communication skills.

  • Must hold references from two previous employers within the education sector.

  • Ideally, candidates will hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle, as travel across the West Midlands is often required.
