Cover Supervisor – Central Manchester

Teaching Personnel are looking for general cover supervisors to work in several of our partner secondary schools in central Manchester, working in and around Droylsden, Clayton and Failsworth. We are looking for cover supervisors to support with day-to-day work as well as to fill long-term positions.

In this role, you will supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain on task and follow the school’s policies. You will deliver pre-prepared work, manage classroom behaviour, and provide support where needed. The successful Cover Supervisor will be required to support students across a range of subjects.

Location: Droylsden, Clayton, Failsworth
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Flexible day-to-day or long-term roles available
Pay: Competitive (depending on experience and placement)

This role is available on a flexible supply basis with the opportunity to progress into

Key Aspects of the Role:

  • Full-time or part-time Cover Supervisor positions available
  • Delivering lessons and supervising students across KS3 and KS4
  • Supporting PE departments and leading physical activities where required
  • Managing classroom behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment
  • Working in a range of secondary schools

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Has a degree or relevant qualifications
  • Previous experience working with young people (e.g. coaching, mentoring, youth work)
  • Confident, adaptable and motivated to succeed in a school setting
  • Interested in pursuing a career in teaching or education

These schools are part of a wider trust and offer excellent facilities, supportive staff teams, and strong behaviour policies. They are easily accessible via public transport and have on-site parking available for staff.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
