Are you a Maths graduate with a passion for inspiring young people?
Do you want to gain valuable classroom experience before starting your teacher training?

We are seeking an enthusiastic and confident Maths Graduate Cover Supervisor to support teaching and learning in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 maths lessons at a forward-thinking secondary school in Rochdale.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

  • Deliver pre-prepared maths lessons in the absence of the class teacher.

  • Support pupils with classwork, helping to explain mathematical concepts clearly and confidently.

  • Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment.

  • Work collaboratively with the maths department to raise attainment and engagement.

The Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Holds a degree in Mathematics (or a closely related subject).

  • Has excellent communication and numeracy skills.

  • Is confident managing groups of students aged 11–16.

  • Has a genuine interest in education and supporting young learners.
