Teaching Personnel is recruiting an experienced Class Teacher to join specialist educational provisions in the Street area from September 2026. Earlier starts may be available for the right candidate.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within highly supportive settings that cater for children and young people with a range of additional needs, including autism, communication and interaction needs, moderate learning difficulties and social, emotional and mental health needs.
We are looking for passionate and resilient teachers who can confidently step into specialist environments and hit the ground running.
These provisions are seeking educators who understand that every pupil learns differently and who are committed to creating engaging, inclusive and nurturing learning experiences.
The Role
• Plan and deliver personalised and creative lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils.
• Differentiate learning to support a range of abilities and communication needs.
• Create safe, structured and positive learning environments.
• Work closely with support staff, therapists and families to achieve the best outcomes for pupils.
• Monitor and assess progress and adapt teaching strategies where required.
• Support pupils' social, emotional and personal development alongside their academic learning.
• Promote independence, confidence and self-esteem.
What We Are Looking For
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience working within SEN, SEMH or specialist educational settings.
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
• A flexible and collaborative approach.
• The ability to build meaningful relationships with pupils and colleagues.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
