Day Rate: £140 - £160 (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Job Description:

Are you a dynamic, passionate, and reflective class teacher looking for your next exciting role? A growing, forward-thinking primary school in the Wellingborough/Northamptonshire area is seeking a Class Teacher to join its team from September 2025 to March 2026, with the potential for further opportunities within a supportive academy trust.

This school offers a creative, enriched curriculum and is located within a new, purpose-built learning environment. With small year groups, a warm community feel, and a diverse pupil population, you’ll have the chance to make a real difference as the school continues to grow year by year.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver an engaging, inclusive, and broad curriculum that inspires pupils to reach their full potential.
  • Foster a welcoming classroom that supports academic progress and social development.
  • Collaborate closely with the Phase Lead and colleagues to plan, teach, assess and evaluate learning.
  • Provide effective pastoral care, support transition between year groups, and uphold school values.
  • Contribute to the development of teaching strategies and curriculum innovation.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with pupils, families, and professionals within and beyond the school.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), with experience of KS1 teaching desirable.
  • Strong understanding of early curriculum development and inclusive teaching practice.
  • Knowledge of phonics-based instruction (e.g., Read Write Inc. preferred).
  • Commitment to safeguarding, wellbeing and equality.
  • Flexible, proactive and passionate about children’s learning.
  • A team player with excellent communication skills and a sense of humour!

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
