Teaching Personnel currently have a requirement for a part time Chemistry Teacher to commence a long term role in a York secondary school. The Head Teacher is seeking to appoint a dynamic and innovative Teacher of Science from May or as soon as possible. The role is available on a 0.6 timetable on an on going basis. Being a Chemistry specialist, you will have a passion for your subject and be able to demonstrate an ability to teach General Science across Key Stage 4, taking GCSE groups.

Graded 'Outstanding’ by Ofsted, this secondary school is well regarded within the local community. The Science Department is well resourced and seeking a driven Chemistry specialist to join their team part time. Behaviour is of a good standard across the school and the successful applicant will need to uphold these high expectations within KS4. Applications are welcome from NQTs and experienced teachers.

The successful applicant will have:

-Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) recognisable in the UK

-Strong behaviour and classroom management skills

-Previous experience of teaching in an education setting in the UK

-Knowledge of the current Secondary National Curriculum requirements for Science

-Enthusiasm for the role and a creative flare

-The ability to form excellent working relationships with staff and pupils from a diverse range of backgrounds

-Experience of planning and assessment to a very high standard

-A commitment to improving attainment for all students

-A proven track record for raising attainment and achieving targets
