Care assistants

Do you have a keen interest in supporting children within an educational setting?

Teaching personnel are recruiting for care assistants to work with one of the SEND schools they work closely with in the Rawtenstall. This is a Secondary provision, providing alternative setting for those who may not thrive within a mainstream setting. This is a highly inclusive facility, providing education, support, life skills and care for children with moderate learning difficulties.

The headteacher is seeking a dynamic, dedicated educator who will add value to their school in both academic terms and through the involvement within all aspects of school life, even, beyond the classroom. The headteacher believes that all support staff are at the forefront of students accessing success and achievement across a broad range of subjects and experiences.

The role
You would be assisting and supporting the care for children within an educational setting. Seeing to the children’s personal care, administrating medication, and ensuring the children are happy and that all their needs are being met. Engaging the children in activities set by the class teacher, as well applying aids and seeing to the children sensory needs. You would be expected to take part in experiences outside of the classroom such as school trips, training days, inset days.

Key information
- £11.85 - £12.77 (Dependent on experience)
- Hours 8:30 – 3:30pm
- January start
- Part-time (3 days per week)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
