BSL Teaching Assistant Required for School in Hackney

An Outstanding Primary School in Central London require a Teaching Assistant who holds a British Sign Language qualification. Ideally you will hold a BSL level 3 or have attained a BSL Level 2 and are about to do your BSL level 3 course. School based experience is desirable but not essential. The school has a dedicated Hearing Impaired Unit to cater for students who are Deaf or have a Hearing Impairment. The school also caters for additional needs such as mental health, Autism or more severe and complex needs. The ideal candidate must be able to inspire and motivate these children through creative methods.
The school is much larger than most primary schools nationally. The number on roll and the number of teaching staff are rising rapidly.
The head teacher is a Local Leader of Education. Five members of staff are Specialist Leaders of Education. The school is part of the Tollgate Teaching School Alliance that offers support to teachers and leaders at all stages in their career.
Excellent Rates of Pay ranging from £65-£80 per day
