Behaviour Teaching Assistant

Job description

On behalf off our partner school which is based on the outskirts of Bournemouth, considered to be 'good' with 'outstanding' features, we are looking to recruit an ambitious Behaviour Teaching Assistant to join their highly rewarding SEN team. The staff at the school says that it is a wonderful place to work mostly because of the dedicated and supportive senior leadership team driven by a Headteacher who consistently ensures that the school delivers a compelling vision shared by all.

Successful applicants will be working with pupils with a variety of complex needs so you should have experience in a similar role. You should also:

  • Be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the role of a Teaching Assistant in a special needs school
  • Have the ability to engage pupils in their learning and support them in their social, emotional and personal wellbeing
  • Have the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and other professionalsThe school is not easily accessed by public transport so a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.

Full time and part time applicants will be considered, along with those looking to work on a supply basis.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
