Job description

Due to the rise in number of fixed term exclusions across a number of our client secondary schools, Teaching Personnel are looking to provide a number of staff to work as behaviour support.
Whilst working as behaviour support at one of our client secondary schools, you will be responsible for supporting the school in reducing the number of exclusions, promoting good behaviour in lessons and around the school as well as encouraging participation and progress in education.
- Behaviour support assistant and behaviour mentor positions available
- Flexible approach to working if needed, full or part time hours
- Excellent experience for those looking at progressing into specialist behaviour provisions
- Competitive daily pay rates, dependant on levels of experience (up to £375 per week)
- Long term positions available across Oldham secondary schools
Working as a behaviour support assistant is an excellent way to gain experience supporting students who display challenging behaviour whilst building your levels of resilience. You will encounter a number of challenges throughout the day and will be required to be patient and resilient whilst trying to get the very best out of the students, both socially and academically.
Requirements of working as a behaviour support assistant/behaviour mentor;
* A calm manner and the ability to defuse situations effectively
* Resilience and patience to work with students who may be disengaged
* Previous experience working with young people aged 11-16 (ideally in a school setting)
If you would like to work with Teaching Personnel as a behaviour support assistant or behaviour mentor, then please contact Miles at Manchester North for further information, or send your CV in response to the advert for a call about any potential positions.
