Due to a restructuring in our client schools support department, there is an immediate need for someone to help reduce the risk of exclusion and support the behaviour of identified students in the upcoming academic year.
Highlights of position below;
- GBP60 to GBP70 per day, paid weekly in arrears
- Full time position with your working hours in line with school day (8:30 – 3:00)
- Supporting students as a one-to-one mentor and liaising with year teams and pastoral faculty
- Rochdale based secondary school, nearby local Metrolink station
- Behaviour support assistant, an integral part in school’s behaviour team
Our client school is an oversubscribed secondary which is well regarded in the local community for the excellent work in recent years in quickly accelerating pupil levels and progress. The school is currently at capacity with over 1200 students on roll which all coming from local areas such as Castleton, Bamford and Spotland. The school was recently designated a centre of excellence, and recent refurbishments to areas of the school have created interactive learning spaces. The school also has a number of on-site provisions for students who are at risk of temporary or permanent exclusions, in which you will work with pastoral teams to reduce the number of students excluded each term and help engaged students in their studies.
During this post as a behaviour teaching assistant, you will work as a key worker for a number of students across Key Stage 3 and 4, supporting them during their studies and minimalising low-level disruption in lessons. You will also deliver strategies devised by behaviour lead to reduce the risk of exclusion, along with support students working independently in the inclusion unit.
