Job Title: Behaviour Support Assistant

Location: WF9

Salary: £85 - £95 per day

Contract Type: Temporary, Full-time (8:30 AM - 3:30 PM)

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Assistant to join a dynamic school in WF9. This role presents an excellent opportunity to work closely with students who require additional support to overcome behavioural challenges and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to students with behavioural difficulties, helping them to manage their emotions and develop positive coping strategies.
  • Assist in the implementation of behaviour management plans, working collaboratively with teachers and SENCO staff.
  • Foster a supportive and nurturing environment where students feel valued and respected.
  • Encourage positive behaviour through praise, encouragement, and effective communication.
  • Record and monitor students' progress, providing feedback to relevant staff members as required.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with students with behavioural difficulties is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and establish positive relationships.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the social and emotional development of young people.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and effectively de-escalate challenging situations.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in behaviour management or support (e.g., Team-Teach, Positive Behaviour Support) would be advantageous but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
