Behaviour Support Assistant

We are currently recruiting Behaviour Support Assistants to work in a range of secondary schools across Bury. These rewarding roles involve supporting students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups, helping them engage positively with their education.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Supporting students with behavioural, emotional, and social difficulties

• Providing one-to-one and in-class support to help manage behaviour and engagement

• Assisting in the delivery of tailored strategies and interventions

• Working alongside teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to promote positive outcomes

• Supervising lessons as a Cover Supervisor when required

• Contributing to safeguarding and student wellbeing procedures

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience working with children or young people in a school or support setting

• Strong behaviour management and interpersonal skills

• A calm, resilient, and proactive approach to challenges

• A genuine desire to make a difference in young people’s lives

• The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff

Requirements:

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

• Recent, relevant references

• Right to work in the UK
