Cover Supervisor

Location Central Manchester, M15

Pay - £90 - £105 per day depending on experience

About the Role

Teaching Personnel are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisor to become part of our agency with ample opportunities to work in our registered schools. This is an excellent prospect for someone who enjoys working with young people and wants to play a key role in maintaining high standards of learning and behaviour across the school.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring students remain on task and engaged with their learning. You will not be required to plan lessons, but you will deliver pre-prepared work and manage classroom behaviour effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise lessons across a range of subjects.
  • Ensure students complete the work set and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school behaviour policy.
  • Provide feedback to teachers on student progress and any issues that arise.
  • Support the wider school community when required.

Requirements

  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage groups of students and maintain discipline.
  • A flexible and proactive approach to work.
  • Previous experience working with young people (school-based experience desirable).
  • A degree or relevant qualification is advantageous but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
