Behaviour Support Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join our team full-time, supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) or Special Educational Needs (SEN) across provisions in the Bolton area.

Key Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children in SEMH or SEN settings is essential

• Must be available to work full-time hours

• Must hold a full driving licence and have access to own transport

• Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Patience, empathy and resilience

Role Responsibilities:

• Support pupils with SEMH or SEN to manage and improve their behaviour

• Implement individual behaviour support plans under guidance from teaching staff

• Assist in creating a safe and positive learning environment

• Work closely with teachers, SENCo, and other professionals to monitor progress

• Accompany pupils to off-site activities and transport as required
