A single form Primary School in Accrington (BB5) are currently seeking a Behavioural Mentor to support a small group of children who will be going into Year 1 in September.

The group of children can be disruptive to the rest of the class, therefore the Head Teacher is currently seeking for a candidate who is experienced in behaviour management and can implement positive behavioural techniques to support the children. Within the role, you may be required to work outside of the classroom with the children in a small group.

The Role:

  • Support the Class Teacher
  • Engaging and encouraging students in learning activities
  • Positive role model
  • Working 1-1 with students who need additional support
  • Behaviour management - diffusing challenging situations, de-escalating conflict

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Have eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident
  • Have a child enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one
  • Previous experience working with SEND children
  • Be Team Teach trained (not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
