Behaviour Support Assistant, Darwen

Job description

Teaching Personnel work closely with a Darwen School who cater for pupils with social, emotional and mental health difficulties. The School is smaller than average and based on the outskirts of Darwen, East Lancashire. The School are hoping to appoint a hard working, enthusiastic and energetic Teaching Assistant to work alongside pupils who often display very challenging behaviours.

The role will be full time, School hours are 8.35am to 3.30pm and candidates must be willing to work alongside pupils who display difficult behaviours. The role will require you to work on a 1:1 and small group basis with pupils who have additional needs and candidates interested in this role will ideally hold their Team Teach qualification, as effective de-escalation skills are essential for this role.

The candidate must be willing to work with small groups of pupils, have experience supporting children or adults with challenging behaviours and candidates must be available full time.

The successful candidate will benefit from:

- Negotiable pay rates £57 - 67 per day

- Long term position available
