Job description

Behaviour mentor position available in specialist behaviour school near Crofton Park.

A school for secondary aged students with various emotional and behavioural difficulties are looking for a member of support staff to join their team in September. All students at this school have been excluded from mainstream school due to their behaviour.

The role:

  • Work in a small class of 6 students in key stage 4
  • Provide 1:1 support in a mixture of academic lessons and practical, vocational activities including life and social skills
  • Act as a mentor and positive role model at all times
  • Encourage students to make the right choices and, where appropriate, assist students with re-integrating back into mainstream education
  • Full time, long term position where you will have the opportunity to apply for a permanent role if you like the school

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
