Behaviour Mentor

Teaching Personnel are working with alongside Primary school's in Mansfield to recruit full-time Behaviour Mentor's. 

Primary schools are locating individual's who are resilient, patient and assertive, who would be willing to support Key Stage Two pupuils, who are either vulnerable or have challenging beaviour, on a 1:1 basis. Candidates should be prepared to interact and be a role model for students stuggling with their social, emotional and mental health, as well as students with disruptive behaviour. 

A Behaviour Mentor is a tailored intervention role and is designed to help pupils reach their full potential whilst keeping them in schools instead of them being referred to Pupil Referral Units, SEND Schools or Alternative Provisions. As a Behaviour Mentor, your role will be helping challenging students overcome their behavioural issues, whilst acting as a role model and someone to look up to. A Behaviour Mentor works on a full time basis supporting student's behaviour and learning inside and outside of the class, this is primarily a class based position however it's very likely you will end up doing 1:1 withdrawal sessions at some stage in order to maintain the progress of student's behaviour and learning.

We are looking for a candidate who has the ability to inspire all those around them. We want an individual who has a passion for making a difference in the life of disadvantaged children. Although not necessary, we believe candidates with experiences in the following areas would be excellent applicants for the Behaviour Mentor role:

• SEN
• Challenging Behaviour / Behaviour Management
• Learning Support
• SEMH
• Sport Coaching
• Teaching Assistant
