Exciting Opportunity for a Behavior Mentor in Bournemouth!

Are you passionate about supporting young people and helping them overcome behavioral challenges to reach their full potential? Do you have experience in mentoring or coaching individuals to develop positive attitudes and behaviors? If so, we have the perfect role for you!

We are seeking a dedicated Behavior Mentor to join our dynamic team in Bournemouth. As a Behavior Mentor, you will play a vital role in providing targeted support and guidance to students who may be facing difficulties in managing their behavior effectively.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Building positive relationships with students, understanding their individual needs, and providing tailored support to help them address challenging behaviors.

Implementing behavior management strategies and interventions in collaboration with school staff, parents/carers, and external agencies.

Delivering one-to-one or small group sessions focused on social skills development, emotional regulation, and conflict resolution.

Monitoring progress, tracking behavior patterns, and evaluating the effectiveness of intervention strategies.

Collaborating with colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive school environment that promotes positive behavior and academic success.

 

What We're Looking For:

Previous experience working with young people in a mentoring, coaching, or behavioral support capacity, ideally within an educational setting.

A compassionate and empathetic approach to supporting students with diverse backgrounds and individual needs.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with students, colleagues, and families.

Knowledge of behavior management techniques, de-escalation strategies, and restorative practices.

Resilience, patience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure when dealing with challenging situations.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
