Behaviour LSA in Bath
Job description
This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...
A secondary school in Bath is looking for a behaviour support assistant to mentor Year 7 boys who are currently finding secondary school life challenging. This role is more likely to be full-time but the school will consider part-time for the right candidate.
This role is to commence ASAP and will run for a term to possibly the rest of the academic year. If it goes really well for both parties, a permanent role could be possible but not in the early stages.
You need to be confident and comfortable with setting clear boundaries. The ideal candidate will need to have SEN experience and classroom experience but having both is not essential. you will however need one of these qualities.
This is a very good school and you will be supported fully by the SENCO. This is the perfect opportunity to bridge the gap between a teaching assistant and a teacher if this is something you want to pursue in the future.
Please contact me ASAP if you are interested or would like to hear more.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
