Behaviour Assistant York

As the UK's market leaders in Education Recruitment, we are constantly seeking to appoint Behaviour Assistants to work within alternative provisions in York. For this particular position, you should be available for either 4 or 5 days, Monday to Friday throughout term time. The School is based in Fulford, York and caters for pupils between the ages of 4-18 years old.

The Job Role:

• To support vulnerable children on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
• Have knowledge of the national curriculum, in order to support the class teacher in raising attainment
• Be able to manage behaviour effectively, using de-escalation techniques from training such as Team Teach; this can be provided if you do not hold the qualification
• Be able to build a rapport with hard to reach students using your personality to engage students
