An EXCELLENT primary school based close to the Leeds City centre in LS5 are looking to recruit an experienced 1:2:1 Autism support assistant who is able to work with a child who has severe Autism in Key Stage 1 from September 2020 or, when the children return to school which may be sooner. 

The successful candidate will be working full-time hours 8am- 4pm on a fixed term contract offering up to GBP100 per day, depending on experience. Depending on how well the candidate works within the school there may well be an opportunity for the role to become permanent.This role will be starting in September 2020 however, this is dependant on the mandatory school closures and could be pushed back to September 2020. 

For this role you will be providing 1:1 support to a child in Year 1/2 who has an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP) to help them access the curriculum and aid them with; literacy, numeracy, phonics and social skills.

The ideal candidate needs to be confident, resilient and enthusiastic at all times as you will be required to support the child to get back on track through the support you give on a daily basis. The child has highly functioning and is on a part-time timetable which therefore means you will spend a lot of time out of the classroom supporting the child.
