Autism Experienced Learning Support Assistant - Penarth

Are you a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant with experience working with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder)?

We are currently looking for a ASD Teaching Assistant within the Penarth area with experience supporting pupils who have additional learning needs, particularly students on the autism spectrum. The ideal candidate would be enthusiastic and passionate about SEN with a great understanding of the autism spectrum. This role will be supporting a pupil on a one to one basis with ASD within a small classroom setting. You will also be responsible for promoting an inclusive learning environment striving to support all their pupils social and emotional understanding. You will be working with a variety of students giving you the opportunity to build your skills across a range of needs giving you a full experience of providing support across the spectrum.

Key requirements:

*The ability to develop strong relationships.

*Supportive nature.

*Experience working in the SEND Education sector or Healthcare sector would be advantageous.

*A genuine passion for working within the special educational needs environment.

*Available 5 days per week between the hours of 8.30am - 3.30pm.

*EWC Registered. (We can support you with this if you have not yet registered.)

*Holds a DBS on the update service. (We can support you with a new DBS application if needed.)

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
