Join a popular secondary school in Salford, supporting students aged 11-16 that have additional needs within an on-site Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) provision.
- Full-time ASD Teaching Assistant required from September 2020
- Supporting students with special educational needs, specifically Autism
- Mentor and provide support for students on a 1:1 basis within the classroom
- Large and successful secondary academy in Salford
- Earn up to GBP1400 per month (paid weekly)
Our client school has recently secured extra funding for a group of identified students and has added an ASD provision to their building due to some pupils requiring additional guidance with their studies. The successful ASD Teaching Assistant will be working with identified pupils – supporting them within these lessons as well as acting as a mentor outside of the classroom in a pastoral capacity.
The successful candidate may also be expected to deliver regular intervention sessions, created in partnership with class teachers to ensure that learning is re-visited and information retained. It will be important to monitor and assess the students’ attainment and behaviour and report this back to the SENCO to ensure relevant action can be taken if required.
Our client school is located in the Salford Quays area, just a short drive from Manchester city centre and close to a local Metrolink stop.
To register your interest in this role, please call the Manchester North Secondary Office or submit an up to date CV using the link for immediate consideration.
