A "good" Primary School in Hammersmith & Fulham is seeking a talented graduate to work with a child with Autism and Speech & Language difficulties

  • Competitive daily rate of pay
  • Excellent Teaching Assistant mentoring and support programme
  • Ongoing CPD training and career progression available

Do you have experience working with children with Speech and Language delay, Autism or Social and Behavioural difficulties?

If so, an OFSTED graded 'Good' Primary school in Hammersmith & Fulham is seeking a talented graduate TA to support a Year 2 boy with Autism and Speech and Language difficulties.

Ideally you would be a Psychology graduate, or with a similar degree discipline suited for the role of SEN support assistant. Previous experience of working in a school-based setting need not be a requirement for this job - more importantly is a strong, lively and engaging personality and the ability to form close and instant rapports with students lacking in confidence and inter-personal skills. The role needs an individual who has a robust and resilient personality, and the ability to plan and interact successfully with other SEN department members.

Intervention will be provided by the SEND, classroom teachers and Teaching Assistants such as yourself. Your specific student will require intensive and consistent support, and therefore your desire to aid and facilitate the learning and development of students with specialist needs is integral to your role. You will also need to be robust and passionate about the part you are playing in the school. There will also be a requirement to support other SEN students as and when required.

The team ethos and community spirit in this school is fantastic, and you will find working here demanding, but rewarding. The Head teacher and teaching staff are proud of the provision that the school offers for all students, and your role will facilitate this.

If you are looking for the kind of rewarding opportunity that this role will provide, please act now! Send your C.V. to matthew.dawson@teachingpersonnel.com or give Matt a call on 02075933088 now, and start to plan for an experience in an amazing learning environment, with huge benefits for your learners, and yourself.
