Flexible Supply Teacher (ECT or Experienced)
Location: Haywards Heath and surrounding areas
Start Date: January 2026
Contract: Flexible shift patterns
Pay Rate: Competitive rates – £120–£140 per day for supply (paid to scale for roles involving planning)
About the Role
We are seeking passionate and adaptable Teachers, whether you are an Early Career Teacher (ECT) or an experienced educator, to work across a range of schools in Haywards Heath and the surrounding areas. This role offers excellent flexibility, competitive pay, and the opportunity to gain experience in new school settings — even if you are currently working with other agencies.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging lessons across different year groups and subjects in line with school curriculum requirements

Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of all learners, including pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)

Manage classroom behaviour effectively and promote a positive learning environment

Assess, track, and support pupil progress where required
-
Work collaboratively with school staff to ensure continuity and high standards of teaching

Be prepared to work across multiple schools within Haywards Heath and nearby areas
Ideal Candidate
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or currently completing ECT induction
-
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt quickly in new school environments

Experience teaching in UK primary or secondary schools
-
Open to working with multiple agencies and gaining experience in new schools
-
Willingness to engage in CPD and stay up to date with best practice
-
Flexible, reliable, and confident in communicating with staff and pupils

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
