Special Needs Teaching Assistant Required in Wimbledon for Full Time Role

  • School based 15 minutes from Wimbledon
  • Primary School based role in Year 2/3
  • Full time: 5 days a week immediate start

Teaching Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a Primary School based within the Wimbledon area who are currently seeking a Teaching Assistant who is able to commit on a full time basis for 5 days a week. The school is looking for an individual who is confident to work with 2 children with autism. The school have a very experienced SENCO and a deputy head teacher who are seeking LSA's who can working on a 1:1 with two pupils who have autism. The school have some excellent resources and some fantastic staff members who are very supportive.

The role:

* Working 5 days a week

* Full time role

* Working in year 2 and year 3

* Supporting two children with autism

* Working closely with other professionals ie: speech and language therapists

You will need:

* At least 6 months experience working within a Primary School

* Experience working with pupils with Autism

* Confident with children who have behaviour needs

* Hold a CACHE Level 3 qualification or you will be degree qualified

* Trained in PEC's or Makaton (not essential)

This is an exciting opportunity for those of you who want a change for the summer term and those of you who are looking to join a Primary School who enjoys training their LSA's.
