Teaching Assistants and Learning Support Assistants with autism experience wanted for daily work in SEN School in Hillingdon

  • SEN Teaching Assistant work on days of availability
  • 1:1 and small group support of children and young people with autism and learning difficulties starting in September
  • Competitive rates ranging from £55 - £70 per day dependant on Special Needs teaching experience and training

Are you experienced or interested in supporting children and young people with autism?

Are you a graduate, SEN teaching assistant or learning support assistant looking for a stable job with career progression?

A special needs school based in Hillingdon are looking for teachers with autism and severe/complex learning difficulties experience for roles starting in September. The school provides for secondary aged pupils with complex learning difficulties including the diagnosis of autism. The school also provides support to mainstream schools in Hillingdon for pupils with complex learning needs.

Requirements:

• Must be able to travel to Uxbridge/West Drayton area (West London)

• Must be able to work 8:30 am – to 4:00pm during school term time on the days that you are available

• Must be confident in supporting children with Maths, English and core subjects

• Experience working in a Special Need School is highly sought after

• Experience supporting students with autism across the spectrum and severe learning difficulties

• Knowledge of autism specific visual aids such as PECS, TEACCH, symbols and sensory resources highly beneficial

• Being open to or having experience supporting pupils with personal care/nappy changing

• Team Teach de-escalation training is beneficial (offered at a subsidised rate through Teaching Personnel)

Competitive rate ranging between £55 – 70 per day dependant on Special Needs experience and training (rates can change according to school feedback)!

A valid DBS with Child Only Workforce registered onto the update service is required in order to secure this job.
