Art Teacher

Are you looking for an exciting role at a rapidly improving school?  If you are an experienced Art teacher this role is for you!

“The leadership of the curriculum is effective. Pupils access a broad range of subjects at key stages 3 and 4. Following school and trust leaders’ assessment of curriculum design and implementation in 2018, significant changes have been made to improve pupils’ learning experiences and progress.” – Ofsted Report.

  • You would be teaching across the key stages: KS3, KS4 and KS5.
  • Starting in January 2021, this is a permanent position in a growing department.
  • You will be joining an exciting and collaborative department who are continually striving to improve both their practice and KS4 and KS5 results.
  • There will be an extensive induction programme to ensure you make the best start in your new role.
  • KS4 & KS5 exam board is AQA.
  • KS5 involves the teaching of the new Fine Art course “Fine Art builds from GCSE to develop the student’s ability to express personal responses to ideas, observations, experiences, environments and cultures in practical, critical and contextual forms.”

The school is located in Northampton.  This is a popular school and art is increasingly popular subject across all key stages – the appointed teacher must guarantee they are passionate about the subject.

The school values its diverse community and has over 1000 pupils on roll from a variety of cultures and backgrounds.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
