Our client secondary school situated in the Trafford area of Greater Manchester is planning to recruit an Art and Design teacher to join their Art faculty on Monday 6th January in the new year. This is a full time Art teaching position which will encompass teaching Fine Art, Photography and some Textiles. The successful Art teacher will be required on a full time basis for this open vacancy where there is the opportunity to take on a school based contract for the right Art and Design teacher. The successful Artist will be expected to take on all planning responsibilities as well as producing resources working with this highly supportive Art and Design faculty.

The Art department has fantastic facilities at this Trafford based secondary school with interactive whiteboards, fully equipped workshops as well as fully kitted specialist rooms for Food and Nutrition, Textiles and specific Art rooms.

Highlights of this Art teaching position:

  • Full time Art teaching position starting in January on Monday 6th January
  • Pay will be dependent upon payscale and experience: earn up to GBP3000 per month
  • Teach Art at a highly supportive secondary school with an inclusive atmosphere and environment amongst staff and students
  • Trafford based secondary school boasting excellent facilities and resources for the Art faculty

The school is situated in the centre of Trafford making it very easy to access for Art teachers travelling from anywhere in Manchester. Those Artists travelling via public transport have the benefit of the Metrolink servicing the school regularly with a tram stop being close to the school. For those who drive, the school is far enough out of the immediate city centre, to not get stuck in the daily traffic and the school has plenty of parking spaces on site in their secure car park.

The school is well known in the wider Greater Manchester area with the Headteacher having links with many of the surrounding secondary schools. There is a culture of collaboration, between these outstanding schools which allows for shared best practice and a number of opportunities for staff. The school are ideally looking for a lively, confident Art teacher who can make a difference in this creative department.
