SEN Teaching Assistant – Agency Work
Locations: Preston & Blackpool
Contract: Flexible agency basis (Full-time & Part-time available)
Start Date: Ongoing

About the Role:
We are looking for dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to work on an agency basis across a range of mainstream and specialist schools in Preston and Blackpool. This is a flexible opportunity offering varied experience and the chance to make a real impact on children and young people with additional needs.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting students with a range of SEN including autism, ADHD, SEMH and communication needs

  • Delivering 1:1 and small group interventions

  • Assisting in the classroom to ensure an inclusive and engaging learning environment

  • Working closely with teachers and SENCOs to support learning plans and behaviour strategies

  • Promoting independence, confidence and emotional well-being in pupils

What We're Looking For

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (in education, care or similar)

  • A calm, nurturing and adaptable approach

  • Availability to work flexibly across different school settings

  • A current DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

  • Qualifications such as Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent are desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
