ADHD support, Poulton Le Fylde (FY6).

Position: ADHD Support Worker

Start Date: Monday 3rd June.  

Location: Poulton Le Fylde.

Full-time, Monday-Friday (8:30-3:15)

A small primary school in Poulton are looking for an individual to join their team to provide ADHD support to a child in a Year 5 class. The Head Teacher would like the ideal candidate to be compassionate, hold excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have a strong understanding of ADHD and strategies for support.

As an ADHD Support Worker, your primary responsibility is to provide individualized support to students with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). You play a crucial role in creating an inclusive and positive learning environment, working collaboratively with teachers and other professionals to enhance the overall educational experience for students with ADHD.

Main responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with ADHD, tailoring assistance to their unique learning styles and needs.
  • Maintain regular communication with parents or guardians to update them on the student's progress and discuss strategies for consistent support at home and school.
  • Communicate regularly with the teacher to discuss progress and adjustments to support plans.

Qualifications:

  • A passion for working with children and a genuine interest in supporting those with ADHD.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
  • An understanding of ADHD and the ability to implement effective strategies to support students.
  • Relevant experience or training in education, special education, or a related field is desirable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
