ADHD Support Teaching Assistant - Newton -Lee - Willows
Do you have experience working with children or adults with ADHD?
Are you an experienced Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant?
A local school in Newton - Lee - Willows are currently looking for an experienced special educational needs Teaching Assistant, to work one to one with a pupil in year 3 with ADHD/ Attachment Disorder and Undiagnosed Autism (ASC). The role will be full time Monday - Friday, and is set to begin in March 2020 until at least the end of the academic year in July 2020. To be successful for the role you must be able to commit to working the full remainder of the school's academic year, as continuity for the pupil each week is essential. For the ideal candidate there could potentially be an opportunity for a permenant contract, depending upon funding.
Ofsted have graded the school 'Good', and have been commended on their behaviour management and opportunities for progression.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with children with ADHD and Attachment Disorder, in an educational environment. Experience working with autism would also be ideal, but not essential.
The role:
- Start date, March 2020
- Full time, fixed term contract
- Newton - Lee - Willows area
- GBP9.50 - GBP10.50 per hour
- Monday – Friday
- Key stage 2
The school is easily accessible via public transport, and has a parking on site.
The ideal Candidate:
- Experience as a Teaching Assistant in a school environment
- Experienced working alongside children with lower level learning and special educational needs
- Experienced working with children with ADHD
- Experience working one to one with individuals with autism
- Hard working and committed to supporting children with a variety of learning needs
- Patient and supportive manner
