A Primary SEN School in Radcliffe, Bury are looking to recruit 3 special needs teaching assistants to start in September. The school are opening a new provision as they have had a large influx of children for the new and upcoming academic year. The successful teaching assistants will be offered a temporary to permanent contract. The school use this method of offering a contract as a probation period to ensure that they have the correct candidates for the job. The school caters for various additional needs such as; Autism, Severe Learning Difficulties and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties. The new provision will be supporting children on the Autism Spectrum; this could be either on a 1:1 basis or with small groups.
The school is an Ofsted Outstanding School that has 119 pupils; you will be working on a full time basis which can lead to opportunities to progress to a permanent position.

The school has designated parking and good transport links. Located in Bury easily accessible from Bolton, Rochdale and Manchester, access to motorway, good transport links for non drivers. This Outstanding school has a supportive ethos. The successful teaching assistants will be supporting students with SEN supporting special educational needs and Autism spectrum conditions. The role will consist of:
- Prior experience working with SEN
- Assisting day to day classroom support and assisting with behaviour
- Students age range 4-11
- Developing good relationships with pupils
- Encouraging students to interact with other students within the classroom and activities led by the teacher
