121 Autism Support Assistant required in Leeds

Role
Teaching Personnel are looking for an Autism Support worker for a Primary School in South Leeds we are in partnership with. The school are looking for a full-time Autism Support Worker who can support pupils across school with addition needs and on a 121 basis for a long-term permanent position.
Ideal candidate
The school are looking for a:
- An experienced Teaching Assistant with an NVQ or a CACHE Level 2/3 or, an Educational Based Degree
- Must have previous and recent Autism experience (in the last 2 years)
- Team Teach Trained (Teaching Personnel can provide this training)
- DBS
School
The school received 'Good' at its last Ofsted in 2016 and currently have an above average number of pupils in school with have Autism and Behavioural Issues. The school have approximately 372 pupils on roll and have over 15 members of support staff across the whole school. The school have a string Senior Leadership Team who run training and INSET days on a regular basis for all staff.
Teaching Personnel
Teaching Personnel work in partnership with a variety of leading, nationally recognised CPD providers, such as; Team Teach, Educare, Creative Education, and Leeds Trinity University.
These partners deliver an extensive range of career developing opportunities to you, covering areas such as; Accredited Team Teach, Understanding and Supporting Children and Adults on the Autism Spectrum, An Introduction to Special Educational Needs and Disability, Effective Adult Learning Support, Implications for Challenging Behaviour, Meeting the Emotional, Social and Mental Health Needs of Children and Young People, Differentiation, Data Handling, Assessment for Learning, Planning for Progression, Prevent Duty, Read Write Inc. and Child Protection in Education. In addition to this we work alongside many leaders of education and have our own ex-head teacher that provides candidates with bespoke, high-quality training. The CPD on offer will assist with your personal and career development, making you the most highly sought candidates in the market.
