121 Autism Support Assistant required in Leeds

Role

Teaching Personnel are looking for an Autism Support worker for a Primary School in South Leeds we are in partnership with. The school are looking for a full-time Autism Support Worker who can support pupils across school with addition needs and on a 121 basis for a long-term permanent position.

Ideal candidate

The school are looking for a:

• An experienced Teaching Assistant with an NVQ or a CACHE Level 2/3 or, an Educational Based Degree
• Must have previous and recent Autism experience (in the last 2 years)
• Team Teach Trained (Teaching Personnel can provide this training)
• DBS

School

The school received 'Good' at its last Ofsted in 2016 and currently have an above average number of pupils in school with have Autism and Behavioural Issues. The school have approximately 372 pupils on roll and have over 15 members of support staff across the whole school. The school have a string Senior Leadership Team who run training and INSET days on a regular basis for all staff.

Teaching Personnel

Teaching Personnel work in partnership with a variety of leading, nationally recognised CPD providers, such as; Team Teach, Educare, Creative Education, and Leeds Trinity University.
