Job description

Teaching Personnel works with a number of schools in the West Midlands area in regards to providing tutors to work both on a 1-2-1 basis and in small groups. The majority of the students are Looked After Children (LAC), so receive a larger Pupil Premium fund so that they have access to additional sessions. On occasion, the young person may not be in school due to various reasons so it is possible to do tuition through the school day.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be educated to a minimum of degree level
  • Be confident teaching at least one core subject up to GCSE
  • Be flexible and be able to fit in a minimum of 4 hours tuition through the week
  • Be both understanding and resilient as some young people can come from difficult backgrounds and present various challenges
  • Experience working with young people in a school or tutoring session is desirable

The role:

  • Working with a range of students which can include students from Year 3 - Year 13 depending on preference
  • Flexible working hours
  • Pay ranging from £15 - £27 an hour depending on qualifications and experience
  • Must be at least degree educated
