SEN Tutors Needed – Make a Difference in Selsey

Do you enjoy supporting children and young people with additional educational needs? TP Tutors is seeking SEN Tutors in Selsey and surrounding areas to provide personalised one-to-one tuition that helps learners rebuild confidence and thrive both academically and emotionally.

Position: SEN Tutor
Location: Selsey and surrounding areas
Contract: Flexible part-time and full-time positions available

The Opportunity

TP Tutors is recruiting caring and motivated tutors to support students who benefit from alternative education provision outside of mainstream classrooms. Learners may present with Autism, ADHD, SEMH needs, anxiety, or other additional barriers to learning.

You will play an important role in helping students re-engage with education by tailoring sessions to their individual strengths, interests, and goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging one-to-one tuition sessions
  • Adapt lessons to meet each learner’s unique needs
  • Encourage confidence, motivation, and emotional wellbeing
  • Support independent learning and positive routines
  • Work collaboratively with parents, carers, and professionals
  • Track learner progress and adapt tuition plans accordingly
  • Create a safe and encouraging learning environment

Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable
  • Suitable backgrounds include teaching, mentoring, tutoring, care, or youth support work
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Calm, patient, and adaptable approach
  • Organised, reliable, and committed to supporting learners
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices
  • Ability to travel around Selsey and nearby locations

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
