Job Type: Full-Time / Part- Time
Salary: £13.75 per hour

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in a primary school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support a pupil on a one-to-one basis in and out of the classroom.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective learning activities.
  • Contribute to maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Help pupils to stay focused, motivated, and engaged throughout the school day.
  • Be involved with the school Senco and outside agencies when needed.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children, ideally within a school or educational environment.
  • Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly those with autism and rejection behaviours, is essential.
  • Ability to remain calm and patient in a busy and fast-paced classroom setting.
  • Enthusiastic, approachable, and professional manner.
  • Reliable, flexible, and committed to supporting children’s development and wellbeing.
  • Able to provide two professional references.
  • DBS on the update service – or be willing to obtain one
  • Have previous experience with EHCP’s.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
