1:1 SEN Support Assistant (Personal Care)

Location: Stoke-on-Trent
Pay: £100- £120 per day (dependent on experience)
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-Time, Term Time Only

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 SEN Support Assistant to support a pupil joining a specialist educational setting in Stoke-on-Trent from September.

This role will involve providing consistent 1:1 support throughout the school day, helping the pupil access learning, develop independence, and engage positively with school life.

Please note: The successful candidate must be comfortable carrying out full personal care duties.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience working with children or young people with additional needs.
  • Comfortable providing personal care support.
  • Patient, resilient, and nurturing approach.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience within education, care, support work, healthcare, or residential settings is desirable.

Requirements

  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Two professional references covering the last two years.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
