1:1 Support Worker (Male Student) – Personal Care

Location: ST11, Stoke on Trent
Pay: £115.00 - £125.000 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time | Term Time Only
Start Date: September Start

We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive specialist school in the ST11 area for a dedicated 1:1 Support Worker to provide individual support to a male student.

This rewarding role involves supporting the student throughout the school day, promoting independence, engagement with learning, and ensuring their personal care needs are met with dignity and respect.

The Role

  • Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a male student.
  • Assist with all aspects of personal care.
  • Support learning and classroom engagement.
  • Encourage communication, confidence, and independence.
  • Work closely with teachers and the wider SEN team.
  • Maintain accurate records where required.
  • Follow safeguarding and health & safety procedures at all times.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience supporting children or young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Comfortable providing personal care.
  • Calm, patient, reliable, and compassionate.
  • Able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is desirable (or willingness to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
