As well as this, the rooms offer a safe space for many children, allowing them to engage in nurturing non-curriculum-based activities.
The successful candidate may be working with multiple children throughout the school day, whom of which may have an Education and Health and Care Plan (EHCP) so needs to be adaptable to their needs, flexible within a team, and be committed to work towards meeting targets. Previous experience or knowledge of social, emotional, and mental health disorders, autism, learning difficulties, physical disabilities, attachment disorder or speech and language needs is desirable for this role but not essential. Candidates with experience as an adult carer, support worker, residential carer, youth worker or other non-education-based professions are encouraged to apply as they hold many transferable skills that would allow you to succeed in this role.
