You Spoke, We Listened: the Results of the Teaching Personnel Educator Survey 2021 are in
Over half term, we sent out this year’s Educator Survey to our registered educators. We have been delighted with the response. Over 1,800 people took the time to give us their views on Teaching Personnel and what we should do to improve our service.
We will be announcing the winners of the vouchers shortly. In the meantime, we wanted to share some of the headline findings from the survey.
Registration, Work & Service
We asked educators to indicate the factors that led them to register with Teaching Personnel. The most popular responses were Teaching Personnel’s reputation, the amount of work and service provided, and the pay rates offered.
While over half of respondents chose to work with only Teaching Personnel, many of you decided to work with only one other agency. Someone did claim to be registered with an additional nine agencies, which seems a little on the high side!
Some other highlights included:
- 83% agreed that our registration process was straightforward.
- 90% thought that our staff are helpful, and 87% agreed that we take the time to answer your questions.
- 88% of our educators felt like we provide the right amount of contact.
- 77% agreed that we offer our teachers, teaching assistants, and tutors the correct quantity of work.
Resources and Training
When we surveyed our educators to ask if they used downloaded resources from organisations such as Twinkl, we were surprised that only 62% had. 65% of respondents went on to report that they would be interested in sharing resources online themselves. This is something that we are looking at how we can facilitate.
When it came to training and CPD, a fantastic 97% of educators who had completed training courses provided by Teaching Personnel found the training useful for their work. If you haven’t done so yet, make sure you check out the CPD Academy section of your myTP Portal to discover what career-enhancing training options are available.
Social Media
We asked our educators about the social media platforms they use and the content they engage with. Facebook was by far and away the most popular social platform, followed by Instagram. Many of the respondents indicated that they followed Teaching Personnel on Facebook - if you don’t already, you can start following us here.
When it came to content, our educators indicated that they were interested in news, videos and stories from us about life as an educator. We hope to be providing you with lots of interesting things to read and watch soon.
myTP Portal
We were delighted to discover that 86% of our educators rated the myTP Portal as good or excellent. We are always looking for ways to enhance your experience working with Teaching Personnel, and myTP has a big part to play in that.
Your feedback in this survey has been extremely helpful in pinpointing areas we can improve on to make your working life at Teaching Personnel even more productive. Thank you for contributing, and we look forward to improving your experience working with us.
