Are you looking for a challenging role which involves managing challenging behaviours on a daily basis?
We are currently seeking to employ graduates in the North Manchester area, with a degree associated with youth and community work, to work in the Greater Manchester area, on sort and long term contracts as a Teaching Assistant. Our schools cater for young people who have been excluded from mainstream education and may vary in SEN and SEMH needs. The ideal teaching assistant for this role will have a degree relating to youth and community work. Having a background of putting your degree into practice is also essential for this. You must also have a confident personality and will not be fazed by behaviours which could be described as ‘challenging’.
The candidate
The ideal candidate will have an outgoing and resilient personality, and be able to work on their own initiative in regards to ensuring that health and safety procedures are met, and the welfare of the children. You will ideally have experience of working in an SEN setting, but applications will be judged on an individual basis. Knowledge of de-escalation strategies and team teach/ moving and handling training is desirable, but not essential as we can provide training through our CPD academy.
What we can provide
Teaching Personnel are education specialists with 23 years experience in the field. You will be provided with your own specialist consultant who will take care of your needs and advise you through the clearing and work process. You will have access to free safeguarding training and an online diary so you can manage your work times more efficiently. You will also have access to our CPD Academy, in which you will be able to attend training courses in order to aid your personal development in your career.
